and you really move inside ‎‎‎‎‎‎ ‎‎‎‎‎bodies unlike anything else.

Yes, we can touch each other,

trail fingers behind ears,
over lips,
between legs,

but touch is bound by surface
and surface means nothing to a sound.

you move from our centres

and into the hearts of things.
When we speak you permeate borders
and invade places which other languages cannot reach.

you come out of us, and you carry us with you.
you move through
gather up
take both,
all and everything you have touched

And bring this bundle right into us
Into others.

If you make a space for it.
If we make space for it

If we open ourselves and let you in.

If we listen
we can learn the shape of you
and the shape of your environment ………………………………………….
we can sense the walls that hold you

we can intuit what you are carrying, but not saying.

You do not carry words alone.
you hold whole rooms
And are never singular.
Do not for a second think that when we speak here we speak alone.

You are fed by the yous of others
Steeped in their thoughts and ideas
We do not always control the yous we consume,
They come at us from all angles.
When we listen we make space within our selves,
what resonates stays

You do not care for boundaries
And you can be difficult to shield against
We do not always get a choice in who makes their way in
And who lingers

We speak out of these multiplicitous places.
Where one of us ends and the other begins is blurry
You move between us
Discovering points of access at every turn

You spread our bodies into the air

we are constantly passing you back and forth.
